Your Privacy in Fondia

Your privacy is important to us. In this document, we explain what personal data we collect and how we process it.

What personal data we collect and why?

Fondia’s business customer register and decision-makers register are maintained for customer relationship management purposes, conducting targeted marketing and communication, and for further developing Fondia’s services. 

The following personal data may be included in the registers: company name and address; the names, titles and possible job descriptions of contact persons; e-mail addresses and phone numbers; and additional information, including information related to assignments, invoicing, trainings and events, and access rights to Fondia’s digital platform, MyFondia.

We collect personal data from individuals whose personal data is being collected and from other sources, such as the companies we work with and other third party sources.  For example: we collect your personal data when you subscribe to our blog(s) or enter information through other online forms available on our website. However, we may also collect information from generally available sources, such as company websites, other service providers (e.g Suomen Asiakastieto Oy), and private and public registers.  

Additionally, if you registrater to Fondia’s legal knowledgebase VirtualLawyer, we collect the following personal data: name, mobile phone, e-mail address and company name. 

Cookies and Analytics services

We use cookies on our website. A cookie is a small text file which the website sends to and stores on your computer or other device used to access the website. Fondia uses cookies to optimize your experience on our website.  The information obtained through the cookies can also be utilized for marketing and communication purposes. The information collected by cookies cannot be traced to an individual person that is the user of computer or another terminal device.  

By browsing our websites, you accept our use of cookies. However, you may clear cookies from your browser settings after your access our website or disable them entirely, if you wish. 

Please note, however, that cookies enable certain functionalities of our websites, and thus Fondia cannot guarantee all functions of our websites to function as intended unless cookies are enabled. 

We are using analytics services provided by Google Analytics, HubSpot and Snoobi on our websites. These analytics services collect, among other things, your IP address and information on the use and traffic to our website to help us better develop and target Fondia’s products and services. If you wish, you may disable Snoobi tracking by enabling the opt out cookie here. Google Analytics can be disabled by a browser extension that is downloadable here. Please note that you will have to separately adapt the settings for each browser and computer you use.

Transfer of data, right of inspection and external links

We treat your personal data confidentially. It is not disclosed or sold to any third party, unless disclosure is required by the law, judicial body or government agency. 

Your personal data will be stored in secured databases, which use both technical means and software to ensure data security.  

We do not regularly transfer your data outside of the European Economic Area. However, the collected data may be partially stored outside of the European Economic Area if a service or software provider we use is located, or stores the data outside of the European Economic Area. In such cases, we aim to ensure that your personal data is processed in accordance with the law, these data protection principles, and descriptions of our data registers. 

You have the right to inspect the data we process about you and demand corrections to incorrect data. The right may be used free of charge once a year. 

Our websites contain links to external websites or contents from external websites, such as Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Any use of external contents is subject to the website’s respective description of a data file.
