Building a great workplace is a strategic choice for Fondia.
We presently have more than 110 lawyers working at Fondia across different parts of Finland and in Stockholm and Tallinn. As Fondia is continually growing we are constantly looking for new lawyers with at least five years’ experience in the field of business law.
At Fondia, we value sharing both information and knowledge. With our emphasis on teamwork and low levels of hierarchy, we do not compete with each other in a way that might jeopardize the work provided to our customers. On the contrary, we work together in a truly positive environment.
As customer relationships are usually long term the team members become familiarised with the businesses of the customers. Every team has at least two lawyers and one lawyer is responsible for 5-10 customers, depending on the extent of the assignments, which in turn is outlined together with customers in advance.
Fondia’s lawyers also belong to competence and industry teams where we constantly share information, agree on work distribution, discuss important current matters and develop our own knowledge. Lawyers can belong to one or more competence and/or teams based on their individual knowledge and interests.
Fondia’s organisational culture is based on teamwork and knowledge sharing. The excellent atmosphere and team spirit also makes an impact with customers, which means that collaborations with us are straightforward and pleasant.
Building a great workplace is a strategic choice and Fondia has had a number of successes in the ‘Great Place to Work’ competition which we have participated in between 2008 and 2014. In 2014, Fondia was voted Finland’s third best workplace and the number one employer in the legal industry throughout Europe.
We only recruit lawyers who are truly inspired by our unique way of working. If you think you would be a good fit with us Fondians, complete the below form and we will be in touch.
“The strength behind Fondia’s operating model is that it’s like an outsourced internal function. We can contact our lawyer directly and start working on resolving the issue at hand right away. This means we receive more extensive resources and broader knowledge than if we try handling things internally. The process is refined and runs smoothly: work starts right away and is of the highest quality.”
”It has proven to be a good match. When choosing a business partner I need the relationship to be balanced. Fondia is not one of the biggest law firms and this means our company is important enough for them. Fondia´s lawyers have a very practical approach and straightforward attitude. They are highly co-operative with solid legal knowledge. They also know when it is pragmatic to bring in additional expertise.”
“Fondia has served as our outsourced legal department and our collaborations have been so considerable that we have been able to delegate tasks to them in a very straightforward manner and without the need to supply further background information. Our lawyer at Fondia understands what is vital in our business and how certain measures or agreements will relate to the present ones.”
Director, Domestic Business and Legal Affairs
“The lawyers at Fondia have the patience to listen and provide the necessary context before starting work. This makes the collaboration focused. Knowing the context makes it easier to achieve objectives. Within legal services I have often encountered pedantry which has resulted in not being able to see the wood for the trees. This is not the case with Fondia.”
“The service is swift and the quality is excellent. Fondia works with a strong focus on the client and always takes the issues as close to the finish line as possible. Therefore, it is easy for us as a client to continue our negotiations with our business partners. Whereas most lawyers often have their own jargon, Fondia takes care of things in a thoroughly professional manner while simultaneously presenting matters in a clear and understandable way.”
Business Area Director
“One of Fondia’s key advantages is that it has lawyers who understand every angle of a given situation. They are results oriented and focused on getting the deal done. And they do it in a way that fits the context of the deal.”
“We’ve received the expertise from highly experienced lawyers through Fondia’s Legal Department Service. I particularly appreciate the fact that Fondia can also recommend solutions that include a certain element of risk. And if the risk materializes, they know how to proceed. This is what I call entrepreneurial legal advice! Usually lawyers have a very cautious attitude and avoid anything involving potential risk.”
"Fondia has made our everyday life easier. For example, we are now able to request different reports that would otherwise take up too much of our time. The reports have been impressive and extensive. They do not focus on the little things, but instead concentrate on the matter at hand.”
